Instructors

Instructors at the club have taught for many years. They have over 60 years combined teaching experience. All instructors have their First Aid and National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP levels I and/or II). They are all dedicated to the martial arts and their teaching ability reflects their devotion and pride in passing on their knowledge to students in the club.

Many instructors at this club have won medals in six World Championships.

Terry Yanke

Kyoshi Terry Yanke is the Owner and Chief Instructor of the K-W Jiu-Jitsu Club. He is a former Waterloo Regional Police Officer and was an Emergency Response Team Leader. He combines martial arts with techniques he used when he was a police officer to create a very effective self-defense system. He teaches classes in local schools and businesses and is a trainer for women’s self defense programs.
